Unconfined is a science fiction and fantasy convention held in Glasgow, Scotland — a city with an exceptionally strong tradition of hosting SF events, having been home to Worldcon twice and to numerous British national conventions. Glasgow's vibrant arts scene, excellent hotel infrastructure, and deeply engaged local fan community make it one of the most welcoming cities in the world for speculative fiction gatherings.
The March 2027 edition of Unconfined covers the breadth of the genre — literary SF and fantasy, comics, gaming, film and television, and the wider fan community — through a programme of panels, readings, workshops, and social events. The convention maintains a participant-driven format where the boundary between guest and audience is deliberately blurred, encouraging the kind of genuine creative conversation that has made Glasgow conventions fixtures in the international SF calendar.
