Judo has featured at the Commonwealth Games since 2002 and the 2026 edition at the SEC Centre in Glasgow brings together competitors from across the Commonwealth nations across multiple weight categories in both men's and women's divisions. The SEC Centre is a world-class indoor events venue directly connected to the Scottish Event Campus complex in central Glasgow.

For many Commonwealth judo athletes, particularly those from smaller nations in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, the Games represent a rare opportunity to compete on a major international stage. The competition runs over three days from 31 July to 2 August with multiple weight categories settled each day. Great Britain has a strong judo tradition and home support will be vocal for British athletes competing in front of their own crowd.
