The Nippon Scout Jamboree is Japan's national Scout gathering, held every several years and bringing together tens of thousands of young Scouts from across the country for a week of camping, activities, skill-building, and friendship. The 19th edition takes place in August 2026, continuing a tradition that stretches back decades in Japan's Scout movement.
Japan has one of the world's largest and most active Scout organisations, with hundreds of thousands of registered members across all prefectures. The national Jamboree is the movement's most significant domestic event — larger gatherings include the World Scout Jamboree, which Japan hosted in 2015. Activities at the Nippon Jamboree cover outdoor skills, cultural exchange between prefectural delegations, community service projects, and ceremonial events that reinforce the values of the Scout movement.
